TransportationPark City is 36 miles from the Salt Lake City International airport. Please note that the Marriot does not provide an airport service. Therefore it will be necessary to choose a shuttle or rent a car for the scenic 45-minute drive. Car rental facilities are located on the ground floor of the short-term parking garage directly across from the baggage claim area. Airport Shuttle: Shuttle service from Airport to Park City:Choose from a variety of private and shared shuttles to Park City. All shuttle services recommend advance reservations. All Resort Express and XPRESS shuttles have desks inside the terminal across from the baggage claim area. The historic downtown area is 2-2.5 miles from the Park City Marriott (PCM) and is easily accessed by walking or biking paths as well as an excellent free bus system. From 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. every day, free buses will take you just about anywhere you need to go, including a stop at the Park City Marriot Conference Hotel. And you don't have to pay to ride! The 2007 schedule can be obtained from the Park City Municipal website (http://www.parkcity.org/citydepartments/transportation/index.html). The conference hotel is on the Prospector Square route, which runs every 20 minutes. The free Main Street Trolley operates from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Trolley will stop anywhere along Main Street to pick up or drop off passengers approximately every 15 minutes. Just stand at one of the Trolley signs or give the driver a wave indicating you would like a ride. The Trolley also stops at the Old Town Transit Center to connect with buses going anywhere Park City Transit serves. Banquet on the mountain with speaker Mike McBride Tuesday August 7th, 6-10 P.M. Ride a gondola to the Canyon’s Red Pine Lodge for a social get together with spectacular views overlooking Park City. The evening will start with a reception on the patio followed by a banquet dinner. After sunset, Mike McBride will entertain us with a seminar on Ostwald’s life. This event is included with your registration fee. Sightseeing in the Wasatch Mountains Wednesday August 8th, 1-10 P.M. Spend the day hiking and sightseeing in the foothills of Mount Timpanogos followed by a train ride through Provo Canyon on the historic Heber Valley Creeper. The route travels through scenic Heber Valley, around a reservoir and down a river with amazing views of Provo canyon and the Uinta and Wasatch Mountains. We will offer a no host bar on the train for a scenic, mobile happy hour. Halfway back we will stop for a BBQ dinner at Soldier Hollow Platform and an evening of bluegrass music. An evening concert at Deer Valley Music Festival Thursday August 9th, 6-10 P.M. 
The Utah Opera invites guests to a FREE dress rehearsal of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Gondoliers. The performance will begin at 7:00 p.m. with notes from the orchestra; the dress rehearsal will begin at 7:30 p.m. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. We will provide a boxed picnic dinner to take to the performance. The following guidelines apply for the Utah Opera performances: no animals; coolers and glass containers are permitted; chairs 9" or less in height are permitted, however, the venue will be divided into two sections with chairs allowed on one side and blankets on the other.
